The Dougherty County School System Police Department (DCSS PD) is dedicated to ensuring the safety and security of our students, staff, and school communities in Albany, Ga.
Our Mission
The DCSS PD is comprised of a team of highly trained and experienced Police Officers who are certified by the Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Council. We work collaboratively to:
Maintain a safe learning environment by deterring criminal activity and enforcing all applicable laws within our schools.
Conduct thorough investigations of criminal and administrative incidents to ensure appropriate resolutions.
Support school operations by providing a visible presence and responding to emergencies promptly.
