Additionally, Lincoln Elementary Magnet School has been designated as a Title I Reward School, acknowledging its status among the top 5% of Title I schools making the most significant progress in improving student performance.

The schools were lauded by district officials at Monday’s Board of Education meeting where Superintendent Kenneth Dyer acknowledged the hard work of the schools’ teachers and students and praised their leaders.

Title I Distinguished Schools are identified annually as the top 5% of Title I schools in Georgia, based on the highest academic performance. Title I Reward Schools represent the top 5% of Title I schools making the most significant progress in improving student performance.

Both designations are part of the federal Title I program, which provides financial assistance to schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families.
