Administrators meet in school classroom

Administrators and leaders from east Albany feeder schools have joined forces to collaborate and share instructional strategies.

Principals, assistant principals, instructional coaches and leadership team members from Radium Springs Elementary, Robert Harvey Elementary, Northside Elementary, Turner Elementary, Albany Middle School and Dougherty High School are periodically conducting classroom walk-throughs in each of their schools.

The walk-throughs are followed up with “Glow and Grow” sessions in which classroom observations and instructional strategies are discussed.

The principals of these schools initially met to set up a schedule and focus for their teams to conduct Phase 1 of these walk-throughs of each of the schools. Planning is underway for Dougherty High to host a feeder school night at one of their home basketball games.
