Safety & Security Dear Monroe Family, School and district leadership are aware of a threat related to Monroe High School circulating on social media. Out of an abundance of caution, we are implementing enhanced safety protocols Friday, September 13th, including an increased police presence. Please know, the safety and security of our students, employees and guests is our number one priority. Although several such threats since the shooting in Barrow County have turned out to be hoaxes, to ensure a safe learning environment throughout our school community, we will always treat such threats seriously, investigate thoroughly, and act swiftly when they are made. Although we believe this to be a hoax, out of an abundance of caution, we are placing all schools on a soft lockdown posture until the posts are investigated thoroughly. The UWSWGA is accepting registration for new members of their Youth United Teen Mental Health Coalition.
