After careful deliberation and consultation with state and local officials, the district has made the decision to cancel school for Tuesday, January 9, 2024 ahead of a potentially dangerous storm system that is set to move through our area. WEATHER UPDATE (8/29/2023, 4:30 p.m.) After conferring with local and state emergency management officials, out of an abundance of caution, Dougherty School System schools will be closed Wednesday, August 30th in anticipation of the arrival of severe weather associated with Hurricane Idalia. We will resume normal operations on Thursday, August 31st.
