Tea Time With Mom

ALBANY, Ga. – Radium Springs Elementary School recently hosted a successful "Tea Time with Moms" event, aimed at fostering bonds and creating lasting memories between mothers and daughters.

Principal Valerie McGhee emphasized the importance of the event, stating it was designed so that "our girls will know as busy moms we do see them we hear them and it's to create a memorable moment and a bond that will last a lifetime".

The response to the "Tea Time with Moms" was overwhelmingly positive, with 200 mothers and mother figures attending to share the special occasion with the young girls. McGhee noted her heartfelt joy in witnessing so many ladies come together for the event.

The initiative also seeks to build resilience in the young scholars and reinforce their self-worth. According to McGhee, the school aims to remind the students "who they are. They are loved They are strong And they are fierce" in a world that often portrays different expectations. The event is part of the school's ongoing efforts to ensure students feel seen and heard.

Radium Springs Elementary School hopes to continue hosting such events to strengthen the school community and support the emotional well-being of its students.
