This is a friendly reminder that our Scoreboard fundraiser begins today, September 3rd, and runs until September 16th at 11:59 p.m. This is a wonderful opportunity to support our school, and we greatly appreciate your participation!

ROBERT A. CROSS MIDDLE MAGNET SCHOOL SCOREBOARD FUNDRAISER: We are excited to announce our upcoming SCOREBOARD Fundraiser from September 3rd to September 16th. This all-online fundraiser will last just 14 days.
Your support will fund social and emotional activities, enhance literacy through book clubs, and update our outdoor classroom. Please encourage friends, family, and the community to donate in your child's name to support Robert A. Cross Middle Magnet School. The top three students will earn prizes, and the top Homeroom class will earn a pizza party!

DELAYED START: After additional review of the weather forecast, and out of an abundance of caution, we will delay reporting times for students and employees by one hour on Thursday in order to give the weather system time to clear our area.

PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES - EARLY DISMISSAL: Please be reminded that Parent/Teacher Conferences and Early Dismissal is set for Feb. 1&2 this week. Pre-K and Elementary Schools will dismiss students at 12:30 p.m., Middle Schools at 1:30 p.m. and High Schools at 2:30 p.m. Please contact your school for details.
The district is closely monitoring an approaching storm system that has the potential to cause severe weather across the area tomorrow (Friday - 1/12/24). We will provide updates through our district mobile app and Remind as they become available.
After careful deliberation and consultation with state and local officials, the district has made the decision to cancel school for Tuesday, January 9, 2024 ahead of a potentially dangerous storm system that is set to move through our area. School operations will resume as normal on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. We encourage you to download the DCSS mobile app and Remind to get updates as they are communicated from the district office.
MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT: The Dougherty County Board of Education’s Building and Grounds Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 22, 2023 in the 2nd floor conference room.
WEATHER UPDATE (8/29/2023, 4:30 p.m.) After conferring with local and state emergency management officials, out of an abundance of caution, Dougherty School System schools will be closed Wednesday, August 30th in anticipation of the arrival of severe weather associated with Hurricane Idalia. We will resume normal operations on Thursday, August 31st.
