Dear Lincoln 5th Grade Parents,
First and foremost, thank you so much for allowing your child to attend today’s field trip to the Georgia National Fair in Perry, Georgia. We apologize for the delay in the return time. Although we initially estimated the students would be back between 5:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., the buses have unfortunately been delayed due to traffic.
I’ve just received an update that the buses are in Perry, Georgia, and are now loading for the return trip. I will remain here at the school until all students, faculty, and staff have safely returned. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this time, and we apologize for any inconvenience the delay may cause.
The new estimated arrival time is between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The buses are on their way!
Respectfully,
Dr. Angela D. Shumate
Principal

More to come!!!

We are now in a Hurricane Warning and a flood watch. Hurricane force winds are projected overnight Thursday, into Friday morning. The system is expected to be precipitated by excessive rain on Thursday. This is a dangerous weather system.
